Us: First and foremost, for the sake of those readers who might be familiar with who you are, and what you do, could you take a moment to introduce yourself?
Andrew Fennell: The name my mother gave me is Andrew Fennell, and I’m a photographer, visual artist, creator, thinker, bacon lover and a die hard New Yorker.

Us: Who doesn’t love bacon?
Andrew Fennell: ( Laughs ) I don’t trust anyone who doesn’t eat bacon.

Us: With the exception of vegetarians, I don’t know anyone who doesn’t love bacon.
Andrew Fennell: ( Laughs ) That’s what I’m saying, I don’t trust people who don’t eat bacon.

[ New Interview ] Dutch New York – Nothing Like Them

The #1 source for all things hip hop, www.readingisfortherich.com, recently had the opportunity to sit down with a close, personal friend of the ours, and the future of Harlem hip hop, Dutch New York. We discussed how he got his start, how he’s grown as an artist, which artists inspire him and what the future holds for him.

Us: First and foremost, for the sake of those readers who might be familiar with who you are, and what you do, could you take a moment to introduce yourself?
Dutch New York: I’m Dutch New York. I’m a man, a father, a son, a husband and an enigmatic rapper from Harlem. I’m Dutch New York, The whole fucking city.

Us: How did you get into music? When did you first fall in love with hip hop?
Dutch New York: I didn’t get into music, I was born into it. I’m the son of a disk jockey, and grew up in a household where music was our main source of entertainment. I didn’t watch much television, all I did was listen to the radio. If I wanted to listen to hip hop I had to stay up late, and I’d do that just so I could hear my favorite songs. I had a lot of favorite songs, but I first fell in love with hip hop when I heard Audio Two’s, Top Billing. That was the first song I ever memorized.

( New Interview ) I-Dub – When Opportunitty Knocks

The #1 source for all things hip hop, www.readingisfortherich.com, recently had the opportunity to sit down with the future of New Jersey hip hop, and the self proclaimed “Best Unsigned Rapper Alive”, I-Dub. We discussed how he got his start, what makes him different from other unsigned artists and what the future holds for him.

Us: First and foremost, for the sake of those readers who might be familiar with who you are, and what you do, could you take a moment to introduce yourself?
I-Dub: I-Dub, that’s me, is an up and coming artist from the Monmouth County section of New Jersey. I’m a lyricist who’s trying to bring that good feeling, East Coast sounding music from the late 1990’s, to the early part of 2000’s, back to mainstream hip hop.

Us: The English language contains millions of words, and you could have chosen any of those words to represent you, as an artist, but you chose four letters, and a hyphen, and I guess what I want to know is, why?
I-Dub: It’s a bit of a long story.
